Ghee <br />2 Bay leaves <br />1 tsp. Cumin seeds <br />2 tbsp. Ginger <br />2 Green Chillies, chopped <br />2 Onions, finely chopped <br />2 Tomatoes, finely chopped <br />Coriander leaves <br />Salt, to taste <br />½ tsp. Red chilli powder <br />¼ tsp. Turmeric powder <br />1 cup Red Lentils, washed <br />3 Glasses of Water <br />½ tsp. Coriander powder <br />½ tsp. Roasted Cumin powder <br />Coriander leaves for garnish <br /> <br />For tempering:- <br />Ghee/Oil <br />1½ tsp. Garlic, chopped <br />Curry Leaves <br />2 Dry Red Chillies <br /> <br /> <br />Method:- <br />1. In a pressure cooker add ghee followed by bay leaves, cumin seeds, ginger, green chillies, onions and stir well. <br />2. Add tomatoes, coriander leaves, salt, red chilli powder, tumeric powder and mix well. <br />3. Now add red lentils and mix it well with the masalas. <br />4. Add 3 glasses of water and pressure cook for 2 whistles. <br />5. Once the dal is cooked, transfer it to a different bowl. <br />6. Add dry coriander powder, cumin powder and coriander leaves on top. <br />7.
